iOS 5 Rips Off Windows Phone 7 Features with Swipe To Camera Roll

A lot of the new features that were announced in the new iOS 5 bear a lot of resemblance to competing mobile operating systems such as Android, Blackberry OS and the Windows Phone 7 and this is causing a lot of talk.
The notification centre that works by swiping down the status bar is exactly the same as what the Android phones already have. iMessage works a lot like the BlackBerry Messenger. With iMessage you can send unlimited text messages via 3G/WiFi to anyone with an iOS device at no extra cost and you can also sent text, photos and more. This is very much like what the BlackBerry Messenger already does.
Twitter integration, WiFi Sync and the update camera app were all features that were implemented in the Windows Phone 7 last year. One feature that is exactly the same as the Windows Phone 7 is the camera swipe to camera roll and you can see this clearly on the video below.
Microsoft already has a patent for this feature called “Integrated Viewfinder and Digital Media” and they can actually sue Apple for this. It seems like Apple is playing the role of the follower more so than the trend setter with iOS 5 and Steve Jobs was right when he said 2011 was the Year of the Copycats. What do you think?
