According to the attest report of gaming site Gamasutra, the official version of the online hit sensation Minecraft will be making its way to Apple’s webstore iTunes App Store, meaning it will be available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. Game developer, Markus Persson (also known as Notch) has made an announcement via tweet that the work has begun on a version of Minecraft for iOS devices.
Persson has told Gamasutra that developing a touchscreen version of the game really “make sense.” At the moment, the game is currently in development stage but it is expected that the final version of the game will be release later this year. The team’s new recruits Aron Neiminen held accountable for the iOS version of the game.
"Minecraft is currently in the beta stages, with a full release planned sometime this year. So far over 1.3 million copies of the game have been purchased, with nearly five million registered accounts on the official site."
Minecraft has gained a huge success in the indie gaming scene. In fact, despite of the fact that the game is available only in beta version, the team successfully sold a whopping 1.3 million copies and with nearly five million registered accounts.
