Jailbreak Vulnerability Found For iOS 4.2.1/4.3

There has been another breakthrough in jailbreaking for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch and this comes after Pod2g who is the guy behind SHAtter and the untethered iOS 4.2.1 exploit for GreenPois0n found another vulnerability in the Apple iOS for the iPhone, the iPad and the iPod Touch. He went on to state that this new jailbreak vulnerability could possibly be used on iOS 4.2.1 and iOS 4.3.
It still hasn’t been announced whether or not this new jailbreak vulnerability that has been located lies in the bootrom like Limera1n or if it is actually of the userland nature. I guess we will just have to wait and see what information is revealed as this vulnerability is looked into further. All in all though, it is great news for jailbreak enthusiasts.
GreenPois0n already have an untethered jailbreak due for release for the Apple iOS 4.2.1 so it is highly likely that this new jailbreak vulnerability that has been discovered is going to be saved for a future release for the jailbreaks of 4.3 and beyond. This is great news for GreenPois0n and it will give them a lot of new credibility and of course when it comes to jailbreaking the latest firmwares with an untethered jailbreak this is what everyone is looking for.
