Unlock iPhone 4 Using Ultrasn0w

Before we jump into the tutorial to unlock iPhone 4 I want to start by explain what unlocking actually is. Unlocking is the removal of SIM restrictions on your iPhone so that you can use any carrier you want. This is what most people want to be able to do as it can save them a great deal of money on their monthly bills. It also means that you can continue to use the service provider that you are currently using. With that out of the way, let’s move on to this step by step Unlock iPhone 4 tutorial.

Ultrasn0w is a very popular application for unlocking iPhones and it has been updated so that you can now unlock iPhone 4. This is great news and it means that you can now use your iPhone with any carrier you choose. The latest version of ultrasn0w has the support for the carrier unlock for iPhone 4 with a baseband 01,59.00 as well as 3G and 3GS models on baseband 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01 and 05.13.04.
The first thing that any iPhone 4 user is going to have to do is jailbreak their iPhone. There are a number of ways taht you can do this. Once you have jailbroken your iPhone you can follow the step by step tutorial below.

Step 1: The first step to unlock iPhone 4 is to launch the Cydia application on your iPhone. Once the application opens you will then need to hit the search button and type in ultrasn0w. When this has been found you should hit install so that ultrasn0w can be installed on your device.



If ultrasn0w doesn’t show up when you type it into the search button you will need to follow the remainder of the steps in this tutorial. If you were lucky enough for it to show up you are almost finished and all you have to do is turn off your iPhone, turn it back on and hey presto you have been able to unlock iPhone 4.

Step 2:
When Cydia has launched you need to hit the manage button and then select sources. You will then need to hit the edit button and then the add button.



Step 3:
In the box that appears where you are asked to enter Cydia/APT URL you will need to type in http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com and then click the add source button. Cydia will then verify the URL that you have typed and then register the repository URL. When this has finished all you have to do is hit the return to Cydia to continue with the unlocking process.



Step 4: You should now have the new URL registered so all you have to do is hit the done button. You will now be able to find the ultrasn0w application and this will automatically unlock iPhone 4. The next step in this process is to turn off your device.

Step 5: Turn back on your device and the ultrasn0w application will now begin the unlock iPhone 4 process. You will now be able to use your iPhone 4 with any carrier you choose. Read more...

iOS 4.1 Signal Problem Update

The iOS 4.1 jailbreak which is being developed by Dev Team has failed to solve the signal problem with the iPhone 4. This is causing a problem for a lot of people and the anti Apple statements are still rolling in. Apple is providing free iPhone 4 cases in a bid to help solve the problem but they are still not receiving the backing that Steve Jobs thought they would.Steve Jobs made everyone believe that the iOS 4.1 update would solve the signal problem but this doesn’t seem to be the case at all. Even after updating to the iOS 4.1 people are still having a problem with dropped calls and signal strength which seems to fluctuate at times.

There are a lot of people who have been considering upgrading their existing iPhone but because Apple is delaying in fixing the hardware issues with the iPhone 4 people are hesitant. This is not the case with everyone though and there are plenty of consumers who are more than happy with their new device. Sales of the iPhone 4 are not slowing down and the iPhone has the biggest third party support of any smartphone.

It seems as if opinions are mixed but hopefully the next iOS update will help to resolve this signal fault and Consumer Reports can give the recommendation that the iPhone 4 is looking for.

iPhone 4 Jailbreak News - Cydia App Store Merges with Rock

It was Redmond Pie who officially broke the news of this merger when they announced that people who regularly use the Rock app to download apps to their jailbroken handsets would now see that all their content will be moved onto Cydia in the coming days. This news was released by Cydia.For those who love Cydia this won’t be an issue but for anyone else that prefers Rock it may be a little disappointing. The good thing though is that you won’t have to go between the two stores to find the apps you are looking for. All the content from Rock is being moved to Cydia. Anything that you may have previously purchased from Rock will be transferred also and all your information including your backups will now be available.

A further update from Cydia is to be announced in the next couple of days so be sure to keep a look out for this. This all comes with the latest iOS 4.1 update and really is great news for all iPhone users. If you jailbreak your iPhone it will now be even easier to locate the apps that you want to buy and add to your handset.

If you haven’t already jailbroken your iPhone then you really are missing out. When you jailbreak your iPhone 4 you have the ability to use third party applications. When you purchase an iPhone you are tied to the Apple app store and third party applications are not allowed. GreenPois0n iPhone 4 Jailbreak Nearly Ready

There have been a lot of hints that the next jailbreak solution for the iPhone 4 is almost ready. This new jailbreak solution will be available for the iPhone 4 and also the new iPod Touch and iPad using the iOS 4.1. There has been a lot of speculation as to the name of this new jailbreak solution and we are happy to announce that the new method is going to be known as GreenPois0n. This new jailbreak solution for the iOS 4.1 comes from the Chronic Dev-Team. If you have experience with jailbreaking then you probably already recognise this name. GreenPoison was the same tool that was previously used to jailbreak the iPhone OS 3.13 and the S 3.2 for the iPad.

A week after Apple released the iOS 4.1 to its users it seems like an iPhone 4 jailbreak is already on its way. There were some very positive Twitter messages by p0sixninja who is a member of the Chronic Dev-Team and he reported that the epic greenpois0n works well on the iPhone 4G but that work needs to be done on the framebuffer code. It all sounds very interesting and I’m sure we will be getting more updates in the days to come.

Once this new jailbreak goes live you will hear a lot more about it but for now it is great to know that the Chronic Dev-Team have been working hard and that their new jailbreak greenpois0n is in development and almost ready to be launched. Consumer Reports Does not Recommend iPhone 4

The iPhone 4 has just received its second non-recommendation from consumer reports. They claim that the new bumper policy released by Apple is not consumer friendly.Every since the launch of the new iPhone 4 there have been antenna issues and owners complained about dampened signals. This seemed to be an issue whenever bare skin touched of the exterior antenna rim.

Tests have been carried out and it seems that when you finger or hand touches a spot on the lower left side of the iPhone 4 you can get a weak signal or lose your connection altogether depending on your signal strength at the time. This is the reason that the iPhone 4 has not received recommendation.

Apple did launch a free bumper giveaway after receiving complaints and they are now discontinuing this offer as and from the 30th of September so if you want a free bumper you better do it quickly.

Apple are really trying to get out of this one but it is clear that there was a design flaw and hopefully Apple will continuing working on fixing this issue. Apple’s sales of the iPhone 4 have not been affected at all because of this little flaw and it seems that consumers can’t get enough of this latest idevice. Recommendation or not, the iPhone 4 really is the must have gadget of the moment.

Unlock iPhone 3.1.3 Using Ultrasn0w

Unlocking iPhone’s has become extremely popular. People want to have more control over how they use their mobile phones. They want to have control over the carrier that they use and by using the unlock iPhone 3.1.3 tutorial that is listed below you will have this control.

Once the repository has been added and you have received the successful notification you should hit the return to Cydia button. Now you have to search for ultrasn0w in Cydia and hit the install button for this application. This will be installed automatically onto your iPhone and the latest version of this application will unlock iPhone 3.1.3 for you.

Step 5:

When you jailbreak your phone you can install and use third party applications without any restrictions.

When it comes to jailbreaking the iPhone you can now use a great application called JailbreakMe. You can even use this to jailbreak the iOS 4.0.1 on the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G. The JailbreakMe 2.0 version works very similar to the Spirit jailbreak and it is very easy to use. All you have to do is open the Safari browser on your iOS device and follow the simple steps in this tutorial.

JailbreakMe 2.0 is the latest version and it is the easiest of all the jailbreaking programs to use. This tutorial will show you how to use the JailbreakMe to jailbreak your iPhone. All you have to do is follow the steps below.

Step 1:
The first thing that you have to do to jailbreak your phone is to download iTunes if you haven’t already and make sure that you back up all the data on your phone. This is in case anything goes from. If you haven’t already updated your iPhone to iOS 4.0.1 then you should do this now via iTunes.

When it is finished you will get a message saying that Cydia has been added to the home screen of your iPhone. You are now running a jailbroken iPhone. Step 5:
The final step is to hit the install button to start Ultrasn0w. Hit the Confirm button when it appears to confirm that you wish to install this application. The latest version of the application will be installed onto your iPhone.



Step 6:

Once the installation of Ultrasn0w has been completed all you have to do is click Return to Cydia. From here you will press the Home button to go back to your iPhone’s home screen. The final step is to power off your iPhone.
