Unlock iPhone, Jailbreak iPhone and iPhone Unlocking

iPhone 4 Has Been Jailbroken

6/30/2010 10:55:00 AM - 0 comments
What a great story to report today. The iPhone 4 has been successfully jailbroken already. This comes within days of the official launch. The “userland” jailbreak vulnerability which was used by the Spirit jailbreak tool has not actually been properly patched by Apple and this has allowed this amazing jailbreak on the iPhone 4 to happen.

@planetbeing who is from Android port for iPhone fame and @chpwn actually managed to get root access to the iPhone 4 device using the code of @comex’s useland jailbreak method. This is totally amazing. @planetbeing posted the news to his Twitter account saying that he thinks that he is the first person that he knows to get a root shell and SSH on the iPhone 4. He also went on to say that he used @comex’s code because he doesn’t have an iPhone 4 yet.

After this, Musclenerd who is from the iPhone Dev Team also joined the discussion and he posted a picture of Cydia running on the high resolution screen of the iPhone 4. His Twitter post congratulated @comex for another userland and posted his picture of a hi-res Cydia via @planetbeing and @chpwn iPhone 4s.

The iOS 4.0.1 is said to be coming out this week and an update to Spirit userland jailbreak tool is to expected shortly after this firmware update has been released. This will jailbreak the iPhone 4 along with iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch and iPod touch 3G.

Even though the iPhone has been officially jailbroken there is no sign of a carrier unlock yet. This is because the iPhone 4 uses a baseband OS and this will require a complete rewrite for ultrasn0w unlocking tool to work on it.

The Dev Team and numerous others have been checking through the iPhone 4 and they have noticed that the baseband runs on a completely different OS than previous models. This means that an unlock for the iPhone 4 might not be out for quite some time. If you are an international user you will need to use the unlocked versions of the iPhone 4. US iPhone 4 users will have to wait until they can use the device on carriers other than AT&T.

iWork To Be Made Available For iPhone 4

6/29/2010 11:41:00 AM - 0 comments
The iWork suite that is currently available for the iPad will probably be coming to the iPhone 4 too later this year. We are not sure what this will look like, maybe it will be similar to the iMovie app that has already been released.

What I wanted to tell you today is that an iPhone hacker has already managed to get the iPad version of Pages up and running on the iPhone 4. According to this hacked he actually managed to get this to work by hacking into the info.plist file in the iOS 4 and then he resigned it. If you know how to do this then you too can add this iPad app to your iPhone 4. If not I’m sure there are plenty of ways to find out how to do it.

He posted the information in his Twitter stream stated that he just got Pages up and running on his iPhone 4 with a little hacking. He also stated that it does work on the iOS 4. He even including a picture that his Twitter followers could look at. The hacker in question goes by the Twitter username of @buzzert if you want to follow his Tweets. His Tweets are great and if you are looking for updates on the iPhone 4 then you need to be following this developer.

This will be great if it works and it will mean that you can do even more with the iPhone 4. The title bar on the hacked version does look a little messy but this is because the Pages is the iPad version which was of course designed for higher resolution display which comes with the iPad. Hopefully the Pages App will be available for the iPhone 4 shortly and it is also hoped that other iWorks Suite Apps will follow including Keynote and Numbers. We will of course keep you updated as soon as we receive any further information.

Flash On The iPhone And iPod Touch

6/17/2010 09:53:00 AM - 2 comments
I have some great news for your today and a preview video for you to watch too. As you know there has always been such a disappointment in the fact that the iPhone doesn’t support flash. If you are one of the disappointed people out there then this post is definitely for you. The guy who is behind the Spirit untethered jailbreak tool for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch has managed to run real flash content on the iPhone and the iPod touch. This is only a preliminary release but from what you will see on the preview video below this looks to be really promising. This is great news and the fact that it is coming from none other than the well known iPhone hacker who goes by the name of comex we can be sure that great things are to follow.

Not having flash on the iPhone has caused a lot of problems for those who like to surf the web and if this new breakthrough proves to be as successful as it looks it could really change how iPhone and iPod touch users are able to view content. Take a look at the preview video below and let me know what you think about this latest development.

iPhone 4 Apps On Full Screen iPad

6/16/2010 08:46:00 PM - 1 comments
Confirmation has just been received that the iPhone 4 apps will actually run nearly in full screen on the iPad. This is great news especially when you consider how dreadful these apps currently look on the large screen of the iPad. The confirmation was released from the developers of the Make Coffee app for the iPhone who actually discovered this when they tried out the new version of the app that had been optimized for the higher resolution screen that comes with the brand new iPhone 4 on the iPad.According to the developers of Make Coffee they had been working on the 2.0 version of their app and they were doing preliminary tests in relation to the brand new iPhone 4. They were checking to see how many pixels they could really get inside a screen so small. The results of this they have admitted were quite shocking but they haven’t released the figures.

They then decided to take things one step further to see how compatible this version of the iPhone app would be on the iPad screen. The results were a total shock to them. In practice the native resolution of the iPhone app displays nearly full screen display on the iPad. This really is great news and it also coincides with the fact that Steve Jobs already mentioned at the WWDC10 conference that the apps that were designed for the higher resolution of the iPhone 4 on the iOS4 would also run on the iPad without any modification needed by the developers.

The new iPhone 4 screen has a pixel density of 326 pixels per inch and a resolution of 960 x 640 which is the highest of any phone that is available today. The iPad has a resolution of 1024 x 728 and with the iPhone 4 app displaying in nearly full screen on the iPad this is going to make a huge difference to iPad owners. The current apps for the iPad don’t even display half screen so this really is going to be a much awaited improvement for all iPad owners.

Video Calling With The iPhone 4

6/11/2010 09:28:00 PM - 1 comments
By now you already know that that brand new iPhone 4 was announced at the WWDC 2010. This new model really is creating a stir and it is no wonder when you consider that advances that have been made since the introduction of the iPhone back in 2007.The new iPhone 4 comes with a video calling feature and the lucky people over at Engadget were very fortunate to get a hands on demo of the brand new device. This is their first impression of the brand new device:

• As we said, it’s shockingly thin.
• The screen is truly outrageous — you basically cannot see pixels on it. We’re not being hyperbolic when we say it’s easily the best looking mobile phone screen we’ve ever laid eyes on.
• The build quality is really solid. The home button feels much snappier, and on the whole it just feels like a tightly-packed device, but it’s not heavy.
• The side buttons are really nice and clicky.
• iOS 4 is very familiar — there’s not a lot added to fit and finish.
• The general speed of the whole OS is way snappier. The camera app in particular is noticeably faster — shots get snapped in an instant.

These guys even managed to record a video of their demo which shows this video calling feature in action so be sure to watch and enjoy and of course let me know what you think.

The iPhone hits stores on the 24th of June and from the 15th of June it is available for pre-order. It is going to be made available in both black and white and there are two models that you can choose from. There is a 16GB model that comes with a price tag of just $199 and a 32GB model which will set you back a total of $299. There are five countries launching the brand new iPhone 4 from the 24th of June with a further 18 countries launching in July.

The iPhone 3GS is still going to be available and at a reduced cost of $99 and the iPhone 3G is going to be discontinued.THE REST OF THE POST HERE(between these two SPAN`s, so dont edit them.) or delete them.Just remove this text and copy in the rest of the article.

This new operating system is available for developers at the moment and it won’t go public until the 21st of June when the new iTunes comes out.

There are some new apps for the iOS4 too and these include ibooks, iMovie and possibly keynote though this hasn’t been confirmed as yet.

This brand new iPhone 4 is going to be made available in two models. There will be the 16GB model which will set you back $199 and the 32GB model that will cost $299. It is going to be made available through AT&T and if you have an existing iPhone with them you can upgrade to the iPhone 4. On a final note you might want to check out the range of cases that are being made available for the new iPhone 4. These are called bumpers and they come in a range of great colors.

So there you have it, everything you need to know about the new iPhone 4.

WiFi For The iPad

6/07/2010 11:44:00 AM - 1 comments
There is a new WiFi Sync application that is proving to be one of the most useful jailbreaking application that has been launched for the iPhone and the iPad. Using this WiFi Sync application you will be able to wirelessly synch your iPhone and your iPad over a WiFi network without having to connect your iPhone to your computer. This application was first released last month but it only had support for Mac users. Now that it has been updated this WiFi sync application is now available for windows users too and it also has full support for the iPad.
The WiFi Sync app allows you to wirelessly synchronize with iTunes at the touch of a button which means that you don’t have to go searching for your USB cable anymore. You will be able to sync on the go no matter where you are. With the new update this app is now compatible with Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7. It is also compatible with the iPad. If you are one of the many who have already purchased this app you will be able to get this update for free which is great news.
You will have to jailbreak your iPhone or iPad device first using Spirit for this app to work. The desktop client available for both Windows and Mac is available as a free download but you do have to pay $10 for the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch application which is available in Cydia. I have to admit though, that at such a low price it is definitely worth it. You will be able to sync to iTunes whenever and wherever you want and there is no more computer connection which is definitely worth the money.
