The CEO of the Cupertino, California-based Apple Steve Jobs may have openly discussed how he hate the 7-inch tablets, however Jobs’ opinion regarding the 7-inch tablet hasn’t stop a rumor that an iPad Mini is in development stage and will be released in 2011.
A new iPad leaks courtesy of Taiwanese pop star and race car driver named Jimmy Lin, who posted a picture of him holding the so-called 7-inch iPad Mini in his right hand next to its popular 9.7 –inch sibling. However, the image posted at Lin’s blog is bit blurry, so it’s bit hard to determine if the iPad Mini is legit or not. The Taiwanese actor even claims that the small version of the iPad, complete with iOS, is his “new toy iPad Mini”.
So far, Lin remained mum regarding the legitimacy of the iPad Mini. But, some experts believes that the iPad Mini is a clone due to the fact that it came from the “clone capital of the world” who held accountable for almost all iPad and iPhone clones we see for sale on the Internet in black markets.
On the other hand, there were reports that apple will release the upgraded 2nd-generation iPad in spring 2011. According to rumors, the Apple iPad 2 will sport a front-facing camera to support Facetime video calling, a rear-facing snapper and a 3 axis gyroscope for gaming. There are also reports that it will be geared with MicroSD and USB connectivity, an iPhone-like Retina Display, and dual-core processor along with the A4 chip to enhance its functionality.
