If you are looking for a way to jailbreak your iPhone or iPod running iOS 4.1 then I have great news for you today. Sn0wbreeze 2.1 has just been released and is available for download. This software tool can also be used to jailbreak the iPad running on iOS 3.2.2.
Sn0wbreeze 2.1 is a tool that is only available for windows at the moment and it can jailbreak your iPod, iPhone, iPad and even your Apple TV. You can use this tool to activate your iPhone, root partition size and install SSH. If you have a 3G phone you can also setup custom boot logos.
Sn0wbreeze 2.1 is similar to the Pwnage Tool for Mac OS users and windows users can also build custom firmware without using the upgraded baseband from the official iOS 4.1. This allows you to unlock your iPhone using the latest version of Ultrasn0w. Whilst this is great news for anyone that wants to jailbreak their iPhone or other iDevice the one thing you have to be aware of is the fact that Sn0wbreeze 2.1 will not jailbreak the iOS 4.2 so if you rely on a jailbroken iPhone or iDevice do not upgrade to the new iOS 4.2 when it is released or you phone will be locked again.
Sn0wbreeze currently supports the following devices:
• iPhone 4, 3GS, 3G
• iPad (iOS 3.2.2)
• iPod touch 4G, 3G or 2G
• Apple TV 2G
To use the Sn0wbreeze 2.1 software tool you will need to have Windows XP, Vista or 7 (32 or 64 bit) and the NET framework 2.0.
