“Rage” Game for iPhones to Run at 60 FPS

A great game with great visuals – that’s "Rage", the latest offering from id Software. The game promises great action and visualization running at 60 frames per second.John Carmack of id Software showed off this latest offering during the QuakeCon 2010 this week, claiming that Rage’s performance will exceed that of Microsoft's Xbox and Sony's PlayStation 2.
Carmack’s demonstration was seen through a video clip showing "Rage" in action on the iPhone 4 using the id Tech 5 engine. The game runs in iPhone 4s but will also run smoothly on iPhone 3GS. It is expected to be on head to head with some of the current popular games now playing.
Reports indicate that id Software is set to release a pre-launch “show off” title during the later part of 2010. Rage’s full version is set to launch next year along with versions for other platforms.
