Multitasking in your iPhone & other iDevices has just gotten better! Cydia has just updated Multifl0w – an expose’-like multitasking interface for iOS that now works with iOS 4 and the iPad running iOS 3.2.

Multifl0w was totally rewritten for speed, reliability, and compatibility with iOS 4. Multifl0w brings a new redesigned interface and is able to show all your open apps (up to 9 apps) on your iPhone screen for easy and quick task switching.

However, only apps that specifically support this feature are allowed to multitask. Apple limited the types of running tasks to a handful of popular processes, like the background music streaming, file uploading, and switching between running processes, among others.

Multifl0w can work alongside or totally replace Apple’s native task switcher. The tabs can also be rearranged by a simple “drag and drop” method. It also has customization options that let you create the multitasking style you want.

Multifl0w has an awesome Exposé-like task switching feature that zooms out your view to a grid of thumbnail tiles representing the running tasks. When you need to check another app, just tap on it and Multifl0w zooms you in smoothly right where you left off.

The app requires a jailbroken iPhone or iPod touch and the free backgrounder app from Cydia. Multifl0w can also be found in the Cydia Store for $4.99 but if you bought the previous version launched in November 2009, you can update for free.
