So if you are a “bookworm”, you would surely love e-reader Stanza on your iPhones.Stanza, created by Lexcycle, is a free offering from the Apple App Store and has a wide number of features for e-readers. Aside from the featured titles, it also allows downloading titles directly to your Stanza library.
e-Book fans are surely aware that there are literally thousands of titles in cyberspace that can be had for free and are just waiting to be found. Stanza gives you links to many of the best sources for these e-books under the Get Books tab. You also have the option to transfer PDFs and other documents to Stanza for later viewing.
You may worry that the iPhone screen is too small to really have a better reading experience. No need to fret because there are tons of customization options that you can use – from font size to margins and hyphenation. You can zoom in or out for larger or smaller text. It also offers a virtual page transition making it look like you’re actually turning pages of a real book.
There's also an option to adjust light settings from night mode to reading in dim light.
Lexcycle also made sure that Stanza is reader-friendly. It made the controls receptive to readers needs – turning the page forward is just a tap away at the right of the screen, or the left if you need to go back to a certain page. Tapping the middle of the screen brings the hidden controls back into view. From there, you can edit settings, view table of contents, do word or phrase search, or look up unfamiliar words in its dictionary.
