Can you imagine your baby using an iPad? Generation changes over time. Babies and toddlers nowadays will no longer be pulling cords or bite donut-shaped rings. Instead, they’ll be pressing the screen on an iPad.

You read it right! Babies will now be pressing iPad screens. Apps that have resemblance with the classic baby stuffs in terms of bright colors and sounds are now available for iPad. Soon, the classic stuffed toys will probably loss their popularity because of all the advancement in technology.

Baby Explorer

Baby explorer is a single screen application that replicates the classic or traditional activity center with buttons or rings which gives sounds when pressed or pulled, like quacks, honks, and whistles. There are also buttons with flashing lights and a butterfly that giggles when pressed. It has a screen in the center with either eggs, bubbles, flowers, fish, or frogs on lily pads, all of which can be tapped for effect.

The Baby Explorer is a colorful app with great sounds and music, and an entertaining 3D-effect. The only big difference is, these sounds and effects can only be pushed or tapped once during the game, then you’ll have to start again, unlike the classic toys that provide endless entertainment.

My Numbers

My Numbers is also a colorful single screen application with a large display. It has an LED-style fish, and flowers or birds surrounded by 1 to 10 buttons. When you push a number, the corresponding picture of fish, flower or bird will light up. If you tap a picture, its corresponding number will light up. You may also change the color display, or toggle between the three musical tracks. My Numbers is also a limited app as it can only allow counting up to ten or 10 variations.

The Cost

The Baby Explorer app costs $2.99. My Numbers on the other hand costs $4.99. The costs may be a bit high, but as always, nothing is too much or too expensive to keep your little ones happy. The apps also provide great colors and a fun way of learning numbers so it would still be worth it.
