Improve FaceTime Call Quality with FaceTime Mod

Don’t you just hate it when you experience a lag or a slowdown while playing online games or while watching videos? How would you feel if this happens during a FaceTime call on your iPhone with someone really important?A lag or slowdown is sometimes caused by network congestion or when more traffic is flowing than a network can handle.
Cydia has addressed this problem by coming up with FaceTime Mod, an application that would further improve the quality of video through FaceTime. This tweak increases the frames per second (FPS) and the number of images per second thereby producing a more fluid and higher quality video call.
The fluidity in FaceTime calls can be better achieved if you are connected to a WiFi network.
FaceTime Mod is able to determine the FPS rate of your iPhone and automatically adapts the quality and the number of frames per second.
You wouldn’t need to manually increase or decrease your iPhone’s FPS. It is done automatically because the tweak analyzes the number of FPS your current network can handle during a particular call.
FaceTime Mod not only increases video call fluidity, it also enhances the audio during the call making it clearer than usual.
The Apple iPhone 4’s FaceTime is defaulted at 15 FPS. This increases to 30 FPS after installing FaceTime Mod.
Note, however, that the FaceTime Mod only works if your iPhone and that of the person you’re calling have this tweak installed.
This app is free from Cydia, and can also be installed for use over 3G. You would need to install My3G or 3G Unrestrictor in order to make your iPhone 3G FaceTime capable. My3G is a useful tweak that makes your phone believe it’s on WiFi instead of 3G.
