The new Retina display that comes with the iPhone 4 is undoubtedly one of the best things this device has. Every other amazing feature that comes with the iPhone 4 definitely fades away in comparison to this amazing screen. When I first got the brand new iPhone 4 I couldn’t believe what I was looking at. I actually though that the phone was a feature of the display and not the other way round. This display uses ground breaking technology that allows the pixels to be just 78 micrometers wide. As a result of this the new iPhone 4 has 326 pixels per inch which is 4 times greater than any of the other previous models. The new screen looks crisp and sharp even when you are using a high level zoom in.
Apple has also used IPS (in-plane switching) for the screen. There is also four times more contrast than previous models too which makes the screen on the iPhone 4 viewable from some of the most impossible angles.
With all these features it was important to protect the screen and Apple have made its exterior layer using special glass that is also used in the aviation industry. This not only makes the screen scratch resistant and durable but it also makes it oil resistant too which means you won’t find those annoying finger marks on your screen.
Apple have really set a new benchmark with their Retina display and I’m sure a lot of other manufacturers are going to trying to reach this mark too. This really is one of the best features of the new iPhone 4. The body of the iPhone 4 may be sleeker and better looking than its predecessors but the screen really will standout and amaze you.

Have you tried looking at it with polarized sunglasses?
