Jail breaking your beloved iPod Touch 2G or iPhone 3G can now be possible with Redsn0w 0.9.5b5-5 4.1 Beta 2. However, it may pose some prospective issues because of a subsequent update that may cause inability to unlock you device. So it would be advisable that you steer clear of this if you have an unlocked iPhone. But there is good news! An update from one iPhone website revealed that the redsn0w was updated this June, so it now usable and available for download to your mobile phone! Available for installation even though you’re at 4.1 beta 2!
But be very wary. Here are some of the things you should not do if you need the carrier unlock ultrasn0w.
One, it would not hacktivate your iPhone3g. Even if it can, do not do this because piracy is a no no. Secondly, network problems are expected if you are on 4.1beta2. One way to address this issue is to have a afc2 access for filesystem manipulation. Lastly, power users who can address issues that would pop up those JB apps will fall behind those trial firmwares.
Overall, this jail breaking operation is easy. It is synonymous to the iOS 4.1 Beta 1. Restoration of your iPhone or iTouch is just necessary for this. Then after that, just follow the easy step-by step method. As was stated, it will not hactivate your iPhone, so do not expect nor attempt to do so.
