Update: New iPad Orders Won't Ship Until April 12

If you are one of those who made up your mind now to make pre-order for the Apple iPad, news is that you have to wait beyond your expected iPad delivery date of April 3.The latest company update on Saturday reveals that due to huge pre-orders of Apple's iPad, any new iPad orders including all three models of the WiFi-only iPad models will ship by April 12. However, for those that have already placed their orders, the delivery date remains April 3.
Moreover, pre-order customers who earlier had a choice of in-store pickup or delivery, also appears to have been removed from the Apple Store. This indicates that pre-orders have already accounted for all of Apple's available stock. Although nobody exactly knows how many iPads the company has actually ordered.

The iPad Wi-Fi + 3G is still scheduled to ship in late April; however, sources indicate that Apple have sold hundreds of thousands iPads since it began taking pre-orders on March 12. There are also speculations that the iPad's first three months of sales could top those of the original 1.2 million iPhone's sale in initial three months in 2007.
