It is true that iPhone has become an intrinsic part of daily chores and it just impossible to imagine life without it. And as you say and feel so, you somehow and somewhere feel indebted to Apple for giving you this technological marvel. However, one thing that takes the heart away from the whole episode is Apple’s high-handedness in controlling customer preferences.

You as an Apple customer on owning an iPhone device have to undertake all responsibilities to pay for maintenance and fix up any problems and damages, but does Apple offers you the liberties to use the iPhone as you wish? It’s Apple which decides your carrier, it’s them who choose which apps you use, what and when to upgrade and who you do business with. Needless to say, all these exclusivity guarding Apple iPhone do come with a price tag which is not always in the best interest of the consumers.

Break-free with pwnagetool

Although, staging a mutiny against Apple is not appropriately what iPhone users would resort to; yet there has been an on and off attempt from several quarters to break free from Apple’s bondages. And leading the horde is none other than the unofficial iPhone devteam who has give iPhone users the option of choosing their preferred carrier by iphone unlocking.

The iPhone devteam is not only responsible for revolutionizing iphone unlocking, but also for developing customized firmware packages. Moreover, you can also jailbreak iPhone using pwnagetool. The latest version developed by the devteam called PwnageTool 3.1, allows more flexibility to iPhone users; however, so far it works only with the Touch 1G, iPhone and the iPhone 3G. This is perhaps the only visible limitation of PwnageTool 3.1 that it is not yet 3G S compatible. The iPhone 3G S users will have to wait some more time till the devteam is ready with the updated version of pwnagetool.

PwnageTool 3.1 – A befitting reply to Apple’s software updates

Introduced just a week later to Apple’s iPhone 3.1 software updates, this pwnagetool (PwnageTool 3.1) version from iPhone devteam is considered to be a befitting reply to the official software update from Apple Inc. Meanwhile, the devteam has urged iPhone 3G S owners to strictly avoid installing official 3.1 firmware updates from Apple, to retain their iphone unlocking properties.

It is true that iphone unlocking gives you the freedom to use the iPhone according to your choice, save money and even get better service by availing competitive carrier service outside AT&T exclusivity. However, the flipside is that you will lose your warranty from Apple once you use the pwnagetool. But, all those who have unlocked their iPhone know that its just fun and adventure that awaits you beyond the Apple conservative circle. Log on to easyiphoneunlocking.com if you too wish to usher the full potential of the iPhone. Till then, you do not know what you have been missing until now.

I'm very interested in this but I am NOT particularly computer literate and this sounds a lot like a 'hackers tool'--do I need to know how to program to use it? Does it involve disassembling the phone at all? I read here http://iphoneunlockprogram.com that you can just point and click with some programs, I don't know... Anyone else have some advice?

All the tools that i have used so far have been easy to use, well instructed along the way. Have a go you will be able to do it.
