Blackra1n is finally live and kicking! Geohot’s latest jailbreaking tool, which generated so much hype, was released quietly on a rather unusual timing in the early hours of Sunday.In a Twitter note, GeoHot has confirmed that BlackRa1n still works on the new 3.1.2 firmware as he successfully jailbroke his iPhone 3GS running the latest OS 3.1.2.This tool claims to jailbreak all OS 3.1.2 devices within 30 seconds is the latest addition to the iphone jailbreak tools from George Holtz, aka Geohot who acclaimed much fame with Purplera1n.
Blackra1n, which is a ‘Windows-only’ iphone jailbreak breaks through the iPhone 3.1.2 OS and covers both the iPhone and iPod Touch multimedia. Released just a week later to Apple new iPhone OS 3.1.2, Blackra1n however indicates that a certain level of knowledge is required to benefit from it. Although, Blackra1n is currently for Windows only; a Mac version is expected soon in the near future.
What is Blackra1n?
Blackra1n is a 30 second 3.1.2 iphone jailbreak that works for all devices and that works on all iPhone devices and where even the ipt3, however the ipt3 is tethered. In order to boot it, just rerun blackra1n. As usual, do not update your iPhone firmware via iTunes if you jailbreak your iPhone / iPod or else all you may lose all your data.

Even the video published in YouTube has issued a number of warnings, apart from Geohot's 3G and 3GS note; one of which is because of tethering. Geohot has announced that iPod Touch 3G users will have to reinstall Blackra1n every time they turn off their devices and turn them on again.

Didn't work. Now I have a completely bricked iphone. It won't even boot!
You may never switch off your phone because it switches to recovery mode at boot. Isn't there a solution yett?
