The patents for the iPhone2 (and firmware 2.0) are out.
As you can see from the images above, FLASH and
WindowsMedia content will be finally supported.
In figure 53D you can also see how the
new welcome screen will look like.
Again there is nothing in the patent about
an embedded GPS (as I previously said).
External bluetooth GPS will be supported and
managed by the "locationd" daemon.

HEY EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT THE 3G IPHONE AND ABOUT THIS NEW VERSION BUT HOW MUCH WOULD IT COST THE NEW 3G IPHONE!!!

Are you sure there wont be GPS? At www.topiphonenews.com, they say that rumor is confirmed. That is something that has gotten so much criticism of not having, hard to believe that they wouldn't put it in.

now the images displayed is the phone... whats up with the home screen stuff calls/im/etc.. would that be firmware or just the "new" phone,, great i buy my iphone like 6 months ago, than 3 later they come out with a 16gb and now even a newer phone.. is the hardware going to be the same besides 3g/gps (if there is or isn't gps?)

another thing im really upset about is how there is no "upgrade" option through apple or ATT
