Ok then.. running previous versions of ZiPhone on an iPod, somebody messed up the NVRAM... Not a problem really! :) Get the new version and click on CLEAR/FIX NVRAM. guys, sorry for the stupid question,but I had no problem jailbreaking my ipod touch 16gb with the ziphone!
However, i dont know how to install the installer in the ipod, I know is probably a really dum question, but i'm still strugling with it!!!
Please give me a hand!!!

Huuh... Just tryed 3 hours to fix my iPhone which was stuck after installing some apps. ZiPhone was not able to unlock it again!
But then, I realized that I was using 2.4 instead of 2.6b! With the correct version, all worked like a charm and I was able to unlock my 1.1.4 again.

Thanks so much! I was locked on my 16gb touch on b/c of the root major error. I went into recovery mode and ran the NEW ZiPhone... WORKED! I thought my music was gone forever and I would have to restore. I cannot thank you enough...

I'm sorry if I ask you I'm sure you are very busy but I'm getting crazy with an Iphone's problem (I heard you are italian well I'm so writing in italian it could be better:)
I have a 1.1.2 Iphone and without reason (no damage) it started to restar all over again and again
I have upgraded and jailbroken the Iphone to 1.1.4 with ziphone (windows) and it KEEPS RESTARTING. (few second of apple logo and the phone restarts)
The problem it is not continuos I mean it works for few hours and than It starts rebooting I have to keep the phone turned off for a long period (more than one hour) after that it works fine for others 3-4-5 hours before to show the same problem (endless rebooting)
I really don't know what to do I have already tryed to use ziphone(restore with Itunes, refurbish jailbroked with ziphone all I could) more than twice but it still not working I also downgraded the bootloader but nothing.
I'm sorry I already asked every were but received no answer
hi I'm new to blogging but I have beening issues with the mail app. It keeps telling me that my user name and password are wrong. I've tried restoring, upgradeing and doing it all over again. Has anyone else had this problem?
Hey, I can't seem to get the wifi to work on my iPhone and I can't seem to get the sim unlock to work anymore. I had used the 2.4 or 2.5 version of ziphone to originally unlock my phone. It worked fine but the youtube wouldn't work. I figured I would try and use the 2.6b and see if it could fix the problem but it's giving me more problems. I had both the bsd root: md0, major 2, minor 2 and the constant attempt... when trying to re unlock the phone. Any ideas?

I need serious help.
I downloaded Ziphone latest version and attempted to run on 8GB - IPhone from UK (bought mid march, 2008) - it wasn't activated on O2 network and is fresh.
every thing went on fine and Ziphone completed succesfully. It could also recognize the Vodaphone SIM that I inserted. But when I try dialing any number the app just closes (I can say crashes)....
In great need of help.

Tengo un problema.
iPod Touch 16GB.
En PC XP. Descargué la aplicación abrí iTunes, conecté el iPod, abrí ZiPhone, cliqueé el botón "Do it all". Todo fué bien hasta que ... nada. La barra de progreso siguió avanzando pero pasaron los minutos y nada, 10 minutos después hice stop the process.
Y traté de reiniciar el proceso de ZiPhone.
Ahora ZiPhones deciá algo así como searching iPod...
Y por su puesto no lo pudo encontrar.
Ahora en la pantalla del iPod hay repetidas muchas veces la frase "BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0
Si lo desconecto del cable a la computadora aparecen unas lineas que dicen "AppleS5L89000XIpodHAL::message
I0IpodUSBDevice::gated_message cableremoved, stoping stack" y luego nuevamente retoma la anterior frase de "BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0" que aparecen cada 3 o 4 segundos una nueva siempre diciendo lo mismo.
Como sigo Doctor?
Es grave?
Como lo saco de este loop?
No encontré otro lugar para hacer estas preguntas.

I left machine running with ZiPhone and iTouch doing the NVRAM thing and went out for the day. When I came back the iTouch was flat and can only assume another power cut. When I started the iTouch it just displays "BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0" and repeats in a look. I did a reset and the same thing. Any advice on how to recover this?

I am having quite a problem here.
Dont know if it is software or a hardware issue at this point.
I installed ziphone 3.0 on my mac.
I did it exactly as showed in this youtube video:

It all looked like it went fine but something went wrong because it says no service.
and it wont connect to my sim carrier.
when i goto settings/carrier i get a error.
once in a while it sees my carriers available but it wont connect.
Also for a minute it recognized my carrier then i tried to make/receive a call with both failing,
I have done a network reset &
full reset, I even reinstalled everything from windows, 1st try was through my macbook.
same result.
So please I dont know what to do.
if anyone has any info I would be more than grateful.
I also am in Amsterdam so there is close to to no iphone hardware support here.

I just got a 16 GB iPod Touch and wanted to use ZiPhone on it but when I tried to download the Ziphone info on my computer(I have Windows XP) it didnt work once i tries to unzip the files onto my desktop. Well this is a great program- done the job no problem-- only thing is it won't save the EDGE setting. It keep going back to the start screen everytime i input them. Is it possible to hardcode the setting into the phone through a back door?
The phone is showing the "E" symbol but no luck with connection

Thanks Z. I have been facing unusual problems since the past 2 weeks. I bought an IPhone(1.1.4 vrsn) and used ZiPhone 2.6 do it all. It worked fine for 2 weeks and now I see that the screen freezes and I cant get past the initial screen. I can still do sync music and can receive a call (but cant answer it) coz the screen doesnt work(touchscreen). I restred the IPhone(itunes) downloaded ZiPhone 3 and erased the bootloader and did a do it all again! I still have the same problem can you help me with it?
I had previously installed ziphone on my 1.1.4 iphone and it worked great. I let my girlfriend use it and she restored it on itunes. i have trid to reinstall ziphone but it just wont work. PLEASE HELP!

It's worth adding that if your iPod refuses to go into Disk Mode and you hear a noticeable clicking sound the problem might just be corrosion on the HDD cable and will need cleaned periodically.
