Doesn't work with the MacOSx version of Ziphone. You can't keep pushing the jailbreak button.
i just tried the video and bricked my pod with error 1604 when i try to restore. Fixed that by restarting my computer then restoring! crazy!
I must have done something wrong with ziphone.
are these the correct steps?
1. restore to 1.1.4
2. use ziphone to jailbreak until you get BSD error
3. disconnect ipod, reset in recovery, and restore in itunes
4. open ziphone, hit jailbreak a few times
5. hit stop button in ziphone once the screen stops updating
I got it working with my 16gb ipod touch buy copying the video :)
If you get error 1604 from itunes, try restarting your pc!

Dude, great vid, im sure you helped many ppl, but you got to have balls to say that its an annoying ad because it wasnt for ziphone hundreds of thousands of ppl wouldnt have their cel phone unlocked. I do believe one icon that may be easily removed causes any grief.

Argh! Okay I have tried every method that's surrounded this YouTube video... I got it to work once by using a method that used ZiPhone 1.0 on a PC... it did jailbreak, but my iPod kept freezing up.
Now I'm trying a terminal method through Mac OSX... Any actual idea on why this crazy solution works at all for some people?

Works like a charm! Bit tricky, first
-I hit the Jailbreak,
-then the error,
-then I recoveryboot the iPod,
-then iTunes wants to restore,
-I select restore,
-then the iPod restores and boots and is ready
-Then I press Jailbreak repeatedly, in console green text starts over and over again.
-iPod goes into kernel boot mode,
-then fails again,
-I recoveryboot
-and cable image is displayed and imediately it jailbreaks again, still triggered by Ziphone.
-now it continues without the error
-I immediately close Ziphone
-iPod completes, reboots and tada!
-working!
---> small drawback: my additional update mail, notepad, stock and weather have disapeared<----

I deselected manual update in iTunes, then pressed apply (sorry, dutch translation;)), then waited until finished, then synced. And there is was again. Good, and with old content:)

This is the one of the easiest and safest way to unlock an iPhone. Now it takes about 2 minutes to unlock but in the time of 1.0.2 it taken more than hour. Nostalgia :D
didn't work for me, I did the same but i only have Zibri's Blog icon, and after synchro i recover my payed apps, but i found funny to have zibri's blog and not installer...

I jailbreak my 8GB iPod Touch (1.1.4) / iTunes 7.6, last week with your Ziphone 2.5c. Everything seemed ok but as soon as I tried to install apps on it nothing happend! It gave me ERROR ! UNABLE TO FIND HOST even with a 3 bar WIFI signal. So I installed the COMUNITY SOURCES app and then I installed a " Ipod Touch Calender Fix" (edit dates on the calender) , as soon as at was installed it turned off and the Apple® Logo comes up and infront the charging circule... adn thats about it, it freezes up, its been like that for about 2 hours!
Should I Retore it with the iTunes and lose everything? Or should I let the battery wear out and charge and power up?

First of all, thanks for the wonderful & easy to use GUI application:-)
I am getting some problem. please help: I bought an iphone recently-(Firmware04.02.13_G)
I used ZipPhone 2.5c to jailbreak, unlock & activate.
But the phone application is giving the following problems:
1. When i open the dialer & press any digit, it takes me to the home page.
2. Whenever there is any incoming call, the iphone reacts with a graphic in background (like it is processing something)and does not show anything
3. When i open the SMS application, it takes back to the home screen
I managed to make an outgoing call by adding a contact in the address book & then by dialing the contact.
Pls help. I would be very grateful.

After trying a few different methods, I've manged to jailbreak a 32GB touch with 1.1.4 using this method.
Pretty much follow the instructions on ZiPhone's YouTube Video:
1) Run ZiPhone Jailbreak
2) Will run until BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0 error
3) At this point turn off my pressing both buttons
4) Turn on again and click Jailbreak button a few times in ZiPhone
5) The jailbreak will run again and successfully this time round!
As the video states, be sure to close ZiPhone once the jailbreak runs successfully.

visit "iclarified" website and check out the tutorials on "How to Patch AppSupport for 1.1.2/1.1.3/1.1.4" should stop the crashing...make sure and use the correct tutorial for the correct firmware...

Yes !! works !!! now i have a 1.1.4 with jailbreak, but no apple's apps installed after jailbreak. it is normal ? the apperepo apps not work..
added the source repo.ispazio.net and install "1.1.4 iPod full features" located into teaks 1.1.4 is the solution for this.

I keep trying to go into restore mode to be able to jailbreak (correct) After i do initial itunes 1.14 restore it restarts into the ipod, then i try restarting by pressing the 2 buttons and i cant get back into restore mode anymore.. Wtf am i doing wrong?

i had the 2.0 on my 1.1.4 iphone, but it kept freezing and restarting, then installer became useless, so i restored the iphone, downloaded ziphone 2.5c and it worked great until i turned it off to restart it...now whenever i try to turn it on, or plug it in, the apple shows up for about 20-30 seconds, then it vibrates and the little timer starts to go around, then 5-10 seconds later it vibrates again, and the 1st timer will pause, and a 2nd one will start right on top of the 1st, and after 5 or 6 its just one circle timer that doesnt appear to move, but the iphone will contiue to vibrate like its about to start up again, but it never does :[
i can't even get it into restore mode, or to be read by itunes....what should i do?

After I used my totally new unlocked iPhone from US for two days it stopped completly to do something. I could not switch on the iPhone. So I downloaded means used your unlocking ZiPhone software and since that time it works perfectly. For that was my 20 USD donation, and not for the question why my world clock is going wrong.

Hey guys need some help pretty badly(ok i'm really really desperate).
i connected my 16 gb 1.1.3 touch to the usb cable and hit the jailbreak button. after a while of all the normal stuff i kept getting the BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0 line. i figured that i had come across an error and hit the stop process line. nothing happens. i unhooked my ipod and to my horror the line kept repeating no matter which buttons on the ipod i clicked. i let the touch run out of battery but even when i started charging it again the line still repeats and itunes does not recognize it. If anyone has any ideas on what to do or how to fix it i'd be very very grateful.

As "Marcsawbo" once I got jailbreak there is a bug when using the keyboard, and the ipod will freeze when I am typing. The only way to out of this is to do a reset. This happens constantly when am trying to update (type) my sources in installer.

Worked perfectly for my iPod 16GB. I had not restored it and after the jailbreak all my stuff was still on the iPod (Music, January Updates and so on) and I had the Installer. Unfortunately I installed a wrong app. So I had to restore my iPod. Afterwards I did the jailbreak again and it also worked on the first try.

The second problem I have is the EDGE menu under settings>general>network is gone??

I got the Touch to jailbreak on my PC in somewhat of a different manner using ZiPhone. Running ZiPhone until the process was paused at the BSD Root..., I put the phone in recovery mode. Closing ZiPhone (and iTunes was already closed), I opened iTunes which discovered the Touch in Recovery Mode. I clicked Restore and then cancel; all of a sudden, the Touch was no longer in Recovery Mode and the Jailbreak process resumed past the BSD Root and completed jailbreaking the Touch. Everything worked except YouTube the first time (it wouldn't play the movies but would load them). I then re-ran the aforementioned process and now EVERYTHING works. Interesting b/c I didn't continuously press the Jailbreak button as indicated in the video. I hope this helps.
im pretty pissed right now... i got the BSD root error and i cant get it off of that screen... my computer wont find it and if i restart the iphone it just starts the process and gives me the same BSD root error.... PLEEAASE HELP ME... :(

Hi there, I am Yaser, I have already installed version no. Ziphone 2.5 (my iphone 8gb restored to 1.1.4) unlocked through yourself on my iphone and in Venezuela it worked out properly but when I was travelling to Iran (IR-TCI) only at the airport I could connect to the network and afterward I haven't been able to be connected to the network(IR-TCI) then I reset network settings however I couldn't connect to the network. In fact, my Iphone can detect the network but is not able to get connected to the network. I have tested that with different types of SIM card and no result. I would be more than happy if you let me know of anyother solution to solve such problem. I know you are so busy however I appreciate your prompt reply. Thanks

I don't believe it. After 5 failed attempts using all methods I could find, I followed the "three click" instructions on the video in Swana's post and it worked. I made sure iTunes was running which I didn't do before tho.
I didn't even do a clean restore - all my settings and songs still there but now with installer.app.

I bought three iphone and made the unlock them in ziphone. Everyone accepts any simcard. The problem is that one turns off and returns to connect often! I'm touching on iphone and it simply restarts. I already did the restore on it and went back to the release by ziphone but the problem continues. I think the problem must be factory and I believe in bringing iphone the apple store where purchased it. Do you think that if I do a restore on it, the apple will reeparar he has been unloacked. I SSH some files on to my iPhone but when i look in mobilefinder i dont see the files nor the directories that i made in the Media folder. but if i log back on with ssh the files and directories are there. is there something that i am forgetting? i change the permissions of the directoies to 0777 but that didnt help to im really confused right now. someone please email me

If I used "jailbreak" button, which doesn't mess with my BootLoader, and then "Refurbished" my iphone, does the Refurbished button downgrade me from 4.6 to 3.9 or does it just not mess with my bootloader at all?

When you add all these other features with T-Mobile the price comes over that.
So i should just jailbreak the phone correct, and do the jailbreak before i activate the phone?
I am sure this will come with the most recent firmware, as i have to wait until the 19th before they ship it, which means it would be fresh stock.
Will everything work after? I read about people not having access to you tube and a host of other stuff that they have to do in order to get everything up and running again.
So is it as easy as a click of a button from ZiPhone, then activate it?
BTW what is the current Firmware?

I switched to an iPhone from a 16GB iPod. I have not the smallest issue! Great.
Third:
Tip: I can tell all the frustrated 16GB people out there, it works with windows and ziphone (only wih windows and ziphone). Switch off your iPod, hold down the home button AND KEEP PRESSING IT WHILE YOU PLUG IN YOUR USB KABEL AND ALSO WHILE THE JAILBREAK IS RUNNING. Works fine for me!

I will release 2.6 as soon as I fix the iPod 'issue'.
I just HOPE the "kids" out there won't release anything about 2.0...
because that will be just like working for apple (and for free).
But I am sure they will.
I prefer to keep you all safe and release only tested and SAFE things.

Worked great! Didn't bother to restore to a clean 1.1.4. Just opened up ZiPhone...plugged in my 16 (SIXTEEN) GB iPod Touch, used the old clicking trick, and what d'you know? It only went and worked first time! Thanks a lot!

Hi I have an older 16 GB iPod Touch and was wondering if there is a fix for ZiPhone that allows it to work with this older model. When I try using the new methods (clicking multiple times, 3 click etc...) I still get the same BSM error. If anyone has a solution it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

i mean, i just really dont get it other ppl success with this method but i cant even get it through this error my self. i've unlock more than 20 iphone with new firmware, all works fine. but itouch is really annoying!
i always get this message: "SPAMMING AT, WAITING FOR RESPONSE"

i found a way to do this method in osx, but a lil different, problem is, i couldn't reproduce it, it worked for my ipod, and at the moment i am working on an applescript which makes it work for other ipods, easily! I will definately post it here when I got it working!

Should i activate my phone first, since i am going to be using AT&T, then jailbreak it?
Or should i jailbreak it first then activate it. Under ZiPhone 2.5c in Advanced Features, if i am going to Jailbreak the phone first, should i just put a check in; Jailbreak File System; and un-check everything else?

This product is simply amazing, however i am going to wait before i jailbreak my new 16GB Iphone until you make one that does not downgrade the bootloader, or uses a fake one were you can restore your bootloader back to 4.6 if need be.
I will not use Iplus2, it's nice, be he seems like an arrogant person. As the saying goes if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say nothing at all!!!
Do you have any intentions on ever doing a fake bootloader so you can restore it if need be?
I am tired of this procedure. I am trying to unlock my iPod touch 8GB 1.1.4 for 5 days. More than 50 tries and nothing happened. I think $20 is cheaper than losing time with this application.

hey it froze my ipod touch it was downloading and i clicked on one of the icons on my desktop for it and than it startd uploading something and it just froze and it keeps repeating this thing over and over it says BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0
and yeah so help me out ive tried restarting my ipod but it comes back to the same thing and i turn it off it keeps on saying the same thing and i let the battery run out and than i plugged it back in and it charged than was saying the samething over again and my ipod doesnt want to load on to my computer anymore becuase the stupid thing

first jailbreak on my ipod i have 16 gb touch with 1.1.4. Jailbreak went smoothly everything works perfectly except i am unable to charge my ipod. Has this come up anywhere else. i tried charging it with usb into comp, ihome, and car charger. at times it looks like the charge went up a little but no scrolling battery.
