zibri i restored and jailbroke perfectly....but now that im using installer and i try to add a source it always freezes up when i type the letter T for some odd reason...i rebooted a couple of times and it always does it on the t....any suggestions??

You MUST do a FULL RESTORE to 1.1.4 BEFORE running ziphone !

I just figured-out that if Installer isn't working right after jailbreak; just make sure the Installer is updated. Refresh the sources as soon as you get connected to the internet and the installer update should show-up in the installer. Works great now.

Please help, while my son was doing this for his IPOD 16 GB Touch, he accidently hit the IPHONE button and now his Touch will not work. It's stuck in a MSDOS state. Is there any way to fix this?
ziphone 2.4 worked perfectly on my 3.9 bootloader 1.1.3 upgraded ATT Iphone.
One must be very careful to follow the somewhat confusing instructions but it works like a charm!

Thank you, it took me a while to figure things out with the BSD message, but I still cannot download the apps for the safari patch or anything else that requires 1.1.1 firmware. I think I messed up when I opened the installation and under sources, I was only editing one of the addresses but I appeared to have erased on of them, and now I am limited to my downloads due to this constant error, any ideas?

Well, I know this is all point-and-click and all, but I have a question... What is the exact process for upgrading a 1.1.3 iPhone (that was unlocked and jailbroken with ZiPhone 2.4) to 1.1.4? Do I just plug it in and let iTunes stomp on the install, or do I have to 'refurb' the phone first, THEN upgrade, THEN jailbreak and unlock again?

I'm having a problem here.
Back when everyone was still on 1.1.1, I jailbreaked my iPod Touch through the web browser and ended up staying with that version and never upgrading to 1.1.2. When the January Software came out, I finally caved in and just upgraded to 1.1.4 and purchased the software, removing my jailbreak.
Prior to jailbreaking with ziphone, I my iPod was 1.1.4 w/ January Software Upgrade. When I jailbreaked, all of my January add-on apps (mail, maps, notes, etc.) were all still there and everything was functioning properly. When I opened up Installer.app, I went to Uninstall and empty shells of all of the apps I had installed prior to upgrading to 1.1.4 were still there (including the iPhone apps i had downloaded through repo.us.to). I unstalled all of these empty apps, including the iPhone apps, and after I did this, it removed all of my January apps.
I've tried restoring my iPod but I get an error. I also tried readding applerepo.com to my sources and getting the apps through the 1.1.4 thing they released, but I still can't figure out how to get them back.
Please pleasssee help me get them back... I really miss them because I used them very often.
Can't seem to get Youtube working. Did a complete restore even and set up as new phone (using AT&T). Even used the Big Boss Activator and still "Can not Connect to Youtube". Any suggestions?
I love your soft (and actually donated)... just one thing you could add on the scripts... is for fw 1.1.3 and above, create a symlink between /var/root/Media with /var/mobile/Media to ensure compatibility with some old applications ... Had to do this for the awsome app Pericam (among other things)...

It is always best to use zIphone from a freshly restored firmware. found out that trying to do it on an iphone with apps already on it can cause this... just restore your firmware again with itunes and redo the ziphone process once done ...

reboot your iphone once or twice (I know sounds stupid), use ziphone to put iphone on DFU mode and try again. One think, make sure your iphone does receive enough power from USB... I had this problem on my main computer and had to do it with my laptop...

B) Full Hardware DFU (required for downgrades):

buttons in the following steps without losing the connection.

I cant seem to install the windows version of ZiPhone 2.6b, I'm on Vista Ultimate and have .Net Framework 2.0 as told it needed, even went to 3.5 of Framework and still get ALL kinds of error messages saying that it cant open this file and that, about 30 error messages in all. I have a 1.1.2 (new bootloader) iPhone. After recommendation from unlock.no to use ZiPhone on to jailbreak any version of the iPhone, I did just that. The phone is unlocked but I am unable to receive local calls or use the keyboard to dial. I can receive international calls (no problem or dial using the contact list). If I try to dial a nymber using the keyboard, the keyboard disappears. When a local number is calling, I hear a low beep and the phone interface freezes until the caller disconnects. Can you please advise?

Just to clarify. I didn't restore to an upgraded 1.1.4 before using Ziphone (the main page seems to suggest that this is needed for ziphone to work best). What is the safe way now to restore to 1.1.4? I used the refurbish button to go back to a locked state (although it seems the bootloader is now 3.9). Can I simply restore 1.1.4 and re-use ziphone or is there another method?

zibri - used the "do it all" with Ziphone v2.6b and today, all of a sudden see the apple logo on my iphone, NEED help ! Nothing works, rebooted, put in DFU mode, restored with 1.1.4 and redone the steps with ziphone, still the same "apple logo" on my screen....pl help !
when i tried to unzip the file for the 1.1.4 jailbreak, i got an error message that says, "to run this application, you must first install one of the following versions of the .NET framework: v2.0.50727". im ok with computers, but not the most knowledgeable. could anyone please tell me what to do at this point?
