Since many people are now visiting this site
I think it would be nicer to read it in your own language.
Look at the top of this page.. there are some little flags..
Each of them will bring you in a localized site.
Every day we have more translators and more languages.
Klingon language is still missing :)
But we are ready with almost all languages.
Keep checking the flags!
Their number will increase!
Version 2.5c of ZiPhone is released.
It should now be perfect.

I got addicted to your music, Man!
Firstly I must say this... "Please contribute to this effort". If you've any idea the sort of money ZiPhone is saving people this guy deserves to become rich.
I've had an iPhone since July, I'm an early adopter, I'm a Brit and US iPhones are cheap for us. In the early days it was just a nice iPod. Then in about August or September along came a hack posted on a Norwegian site and my iPod finally became an iPhone (1.0.2 in those days). Since that day I've influenced well over 20 other people to buy iPhones and hack them (as the US dollar is so cheap they're effectively cheaper than the UK iPod Nano).
In December my iPhone was stolen in Dakar (Senegal), probably the first iPhone to be used in Senegal but the replacement (bought in the US a few weeks later) left be with a OTB 1.1.2. I tried the Xsim which worked on other colleagues phones but sadly not on mine. Finally ZiPhone came along and I now have a fully functional iPhone again. I'm so happy with it that I bought another one yesterday (while visiting the US again) for my wife and hacked that too.
So, to be constructive, I've now got a 1.1.4 phone (4A102) with 4.04 .05_G firmware (post ziphone hack). It was a 1.1.2 OTB and I did a full restore (DFU mode) and installed 1.1.4 (via iTunes on the Mac). Ran "ziphone -Z Y" from the command line (I prefer command lines) and got the phone fully working with my UK Vodafone SIM (roaming in the US).
I had initial problems getting SummerBoard to install but there's a new version now that should work and there was a fix that did the job for me. Term-VT100 was a real pain in 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 and I was stuck for about a day because OpenSSH didn't work either. I un-installed about everything and then re-installed the BSD Subsystem, re-booted (fully) and then installed OpenSSH again, re-bboted again and finally it worked. I've no idea why it didn't work before but it wouldn't accept any logins with any user. As an FYI all the passwords are unchanged. You need to do a few patched to get the term-vt100 working and a few more if you want to install the development languages as the way Apple have partitioned the machine it quickly runs out of space.

and for the space problem try this...
cp -pr /Applications /var/root
mv /Applications /Applications.old
ln -s /private/var/root/Applications /Applications
reboot and check it all works and then run this...
rm -rf /Applications.old
I did the same with /opt as I was running out even after moving /Applications, my root looks like this...

Hi, I had already use 2.5b with the firmware 1.1.4 which my iphone previously downgraded to 3.9BL by Ziphone 2.4 with 1.1.3 firmware. And Now it is OK for me. But is there any additional changes except dongrading bootloader problem. Do I need to do again with Ziphone 2.5c? thanks

Excellent work! However, jailbreaking ipod touch 1.1.4 doesn't work (16GB version). Keep getting bsd: md0...

I no the langauage is no different but perhaps it would be a good idea to have a UK site. Just so us people from the Uk can chat and get/give guidance from/to other people from the UK. What do you think?

Hey Zibri! Been using all your versions. But the latest (ZiPhone 2.5c) on Mac OSX, when I choose DO NOT UNLOCK it tries to unlock anyways. I had to go into Advanced and choose Jailbreak/Activate only in order for the unlock no to go through.

Thank you for all the work, but please don't forget the ipod touch 16 & 32 users.
I tried Ziphone on my Touch 32 1.1.3 and got frosen during the process, then had to retore it to 1.1.4. You should clarifie in Ziphone that it only works for 8gb Touch.
Any way, don't get me wrong i'm happy that there a guy like you out there helping turist like me and many others jailbreak our ipods

I just restored my iPhone to 1.1.4 (I'm on 4.6 BL) and tested the 2.5c version...it has the same bug as 2.5!
It Activated, jailbroke my iPhone...but it didn't unlock it..cause it didn't erase the baseband (I'm still on 4.04)
I used version 2.4 to unlock only and it worked.
Hope u gonna fix this soon.

It doesn't actually work for every 8GB touch, at least not for mine. I get the BSD error's also.

Hi Zibri, Can I ask you for help? I just got my iPhone 16GB from USA and ziPhone 2.5c wont work. iTunes detects the iPhone, and the iPhone is in restore mode since I see the wire and Itunes icon, but Ziphone stays searching for the iPhone without finding it or doing anything.
What am I doing wrong?

ziphone 2.4 worked perfectly on my 3.9 bootloader 1.1.3 upgraded ATT Iphone.
One must be very careful to follow the somewhat confusing instructions but it works like a charm!
Out of AppleJail once again! I was going to wait for the SDK to come out but now that it is delayed again, I am happy to enjoy my widgets again.

Now that we know the path of the Iphone Sdk, I wonder about the future of the "jailbreakers" and non-sanctioned app developers.
Even Zbri seems to be asking Apple for acceptance or perhaps a job?
It will be interesting to see how it all works out in the very near future.

It is a disastor, an innocent touch has brick an iPhone. While half way thru using ZiPhone to 'Do It All'a new 16G, I accidentally stop the process. Now the iPhone is frozen with scrolls of texts on its screen.

Hey i have been trying to jailbreak my 8g ipod touch 1.1.4 on Ziphone 2.5c and i keep getting the BSD major minor error. One time it had BSD error twice and then said "
[FTL:WRN]Restore ok!
[FTL:MSG]FTL_Open ok]
but then went back to BSD root major minor error
i have tried closing itunes, not closing itunes, ejecting ipod, not ejecting ipod, putting it into restore mode manually, having ziphone do it. i have downloaded ziphone 2.5c like 5 times to see if it was a bad download. i have noticed that a lot of people with 8g ipods are having the same problem. any fix for this?

I just unlocked 1.1.3 8 GB iPhone. the firmware still is 1.1.3 and I would like to keep it that way.
