ZiPhone 2.5 is now on download site for
you all to enjoy.
I decided to release it for everyone since MANY
are helping supporting sponsors.
And it would not have been fair to them.
I suggest you to do a restore to 1.1.4
not an update. Because installer keeps old
installed apps in it's cache and you would have problems.
Hoping people at nullriver software resolve that soon.
After restore to 1.1.4, just use "ziphone -Z Y" or the first
button on GUI versions.

Description for "Do it all!" button says it will downgrade to 3.9 if it's 4.6. So we can just use this button to downgrade(if 4.6BL), jailbreak and unlock right ?

I am really new to this. I am just trying to customize the interface, icons and wallpaper. I thought that summerboard does that but it won't load.Says it only works on 1.1.3. Am I missing something?

I had a 1.1.3 OTB with 4.6BB, I accidentally upgraded through Itunes to 1.1.4 and locked the phone feature. I downgraded to 1.1.3 and used Ziphone 2.4 but it didn't work (it only jailbraked but didn't activate).
I did what Zibri said. I restored with Itunes to 1.1.4, I used Ziphone 2.5 and voilà. It's working perfectly now, with versión 1.1.4

Having trouble starting the program in OSX. The icon appears for a fraction of a second in the dock and then disappears. Had the same problem with 2.4 so I've been on 2.3 for a while. Love it though!

BIG PROBLEM
I tired to use this on my 16 GB ipod touch, and it froze. Now when I did a force restart, all that came up was a bunch of white text on a black background, it reminded me of terminal or something, it says some stuff, and then the line
"BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0"
is displayed over and over and over until it fills the whole screen. Itunes doesn't even see my ipod, so I cant restore it through itunes. Is there another way I can restore my ipod, or am I just screwed?

I need an explanation:
before I used ZiPhone 2.5 I checked my iPhone with the iPhoneBrowser and had the usual display of directories like Applications, usr, var, system etc.
Now the iPhoneBrowser just shows DCIM and iPhoneControls.
How come?
Where have all the usual directories disappeared to?

I have upg and Ziphoned to 1.1.4 but I have a serious problem with installer. After I dowwnloaded and installed BSD and Opne SSH it stopped to work. It doesn't make me download any package "Package download failed". and the connection icon keep on running even after I go out installer and I go in again. Please help!

This means that you will lose contacts, mail, call log, sms log, camera roll, but, if you have used iPhone PC suite to backup (http://www.spaziocellulare.com/ispazio/download-win/), at least in windows you can recover everyhting.
PS: you can still synchro with windows (or mac) contacts to restore them

I've got a HUGE problem. I restarted my phone, and since then I can't make calls properly. It rings, but if the other person hangs up, I hear NOTHING. Ive already checked the volume and everything. Nothing working. If they call me and I pick up, no sound there either. But I can pick up service and use edge. Also, I can't play any voicemails or play my greeting. Somebody, please help!!

Awesome that you were able to come up with a new jailbreak so quickly, however, I have one question.
Can I use this to jailbreak a 1.1.3 still? I was in the process of doing that (downgarding itunes and what not) when this was released, and now I can't get 2.4 from here.
So, is there somewhere I can obtain 2.4 or does 2.5 still work to jailbreaks 1.1.3's?

I am having a pop up saying something about this accessory is not made to work with iphone and then says something about if I would like to put it in airplane mode. it works like a charm. with itunes 7.6.1 as well. Once download of the firmware is complete, it only takes 10 minutes to restore and unlock, jailbreak and activate. No problems whatsoever. A well deserved donation goes to.....ZIBRI.
wouldn't it be possible to just install any apps installed through the installer and then upgrade and reinstall your apps of choice? just a thought.

For those having issues with their iPod touch:
Shut the thing down (hold down both buttons) and then unplug it.
Then, hold down the button on the front of the thing and, while still holding down the button, plug the cable in, and continue holding the button down until the iPod's screen shows the cable and your computer starts chirping at you about restoring the ipod.

Everything works great!!
For people having trouble with installer and BSD subsystem after upgrade. I was able to fix it by refreshing my sources and then installing BSD(may want to reinstall installer to).

Mine won't upgrade. It says it does, but I still have 1.1.3 with baseband 04.04.05_G? I the Progress Log it says "Could not enable SSL", could that have anything to do with it? Don't know how to fix that..

@ Paul : %I had the same problem, you must do a hard reset : connect your iPod to your pc, then press home and hold buttons until the apple appears, then continu pressing the home button and stop pressing the hold one, your ipod will disp the itunes logo with a cable, like when first turned it on (i'm french sorry for my bad English)
