Now in the download it says "ZiPhone 2.3 OSX GUI Version", and before it was with Leopard in the title. Does this mean that THIS version is also working with Tiger?

now even when i turn off and on the ipod it starts that program again and hangs at BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0
what am i supposed to do???????????

The readme-file in 2.3 is from 2.2 in the OSX version.....

Seriously, this is getting ridiculous. Not that people doesn't appreciate your work, but so many version in such a short time. Sometimes only a couple of hour later....
What's the point of releasing something if you still have a TODO list of features you could implement in a week time frame (or even more).
It doesn't show that you are working hard on it, it just shows that you are rushing into releasing something, in an amateurish way. Chill down, take a breath, your time, and you'll see you'll get more respect for more professionalism.
And no, in case you wonder, I'm not part of any of the iphone drama scene, so no need to try to find any hidden identity. There's none. Just my 2 cents (that I'm sure you all are going to say you don't need... but it's ok, at least someone said it, and I'm ok with being the a$$)
Ok, you can all bash me now (let me spare a few words for you: "blabla, you don't do anything, blabla, he is doing something at least, not you, blabla..."), but if you're being honest you know there is some truths about what I just wrote.

The newest version of ZiPhone OSX is just amazing! I just tried it and it took me no more than 5 min to have my 1.1.1 iPhone updated with the latest software version and unlocked at the same time. Thanks a lot, it is a piece of art what you have made.

I tried the ZiPhone Mac version 2.3 to jailbreak my iPod Touch and failed. My iPod Touch is 1.1.2 OTB and updated to 1.1.3. The iPod Touch keep repeating a BSD message and would not stop.

This seems to be working flawlessly
The problem i had with ziphone 2.2 was that installer could not install apps. It seems to be working this time. Setting up a new iphone in itunes seems to prevent yahoo email and youtube problems.

And in the event it *doesn't* work for anyone, PLEASE give me all you can to help track it down.
At the very least I need iTunes version, full MacOS version, processor type (Intel or PPC), whether or not the device syncs with iTunes on the computer you're using, any output from ZiPhone, and any crash reports if it generates them.
Dont know what I'm doing wrong here. Restired via itunes to 1.13. Start ziphone. Just "activate". Phone goes into recovery and thats it. nothing more exept itunes telung me it sees a phone in recovery...

Hi Zibri: just left the msg. that it does not work. I tried to do all three things now - means I taged Jailbreak, Activate and Unlock and it works fine:

Okay, just to put this out, i don't think Zibri's doing that great of a job with this. I am experiencing so many technical difficulties its ridiculous. To start off i had to put my iphone into recovery mode because it has gotten so screwed up from this. My youtube doesn't work, my e-mail doesn't work, google maps doesn't work. and i had to reset my phone because the sound didn't work nor did the ipod. So until he comes out with something to fix the problems im having (im sure im not the only one with them) i am not satisfied. And by the way everyone with problems, NO ONE here helps you stop sharing your problems because i see no answers to them.
Quick question, is this working on 16GB iPhone?
I guess yes, but I'b like to know if someone try this tool with success.

Mac OS X 10.5 and 1.1.3 OTB 16GB version. The unlock was successful but I got one annoying issue. I have to press a button to refresh the screen. That means, i have to keep pressing the volume button while i slide so i can see the slider moving otherwise it will just be freezed always.

How do we get the ipod touch new apps to get unlocked without paying. been trying to figure that out after this jailbreak.

Thank you for your continous efforts. I strongly support with your continously releases of new versions.
This way people can stay away from the bugs which possible storm the blog with multiple comments.
As I hinted earlier, it would be great to address the following tips in your next release:
1). Patch the Service.plist, so that iPhoneBrowser and iBrickr can read the file system.
2). Include BSD Subsystem 2.1, as not many of us have a strong Internet connection and 6.6MB of data does slow down the work.

iPhone: 1.1.1 OTB (3.9BL/week 44), i've used 1.1.2 for a while, and now 1.1.3!!
OSX: Tiger (10.4.11)
i checked the boxes next to Jailbreak and Activate and hit the Start button. took about 1 to jailbreak/activate.
next, i installed BSD Subsystem and AnySIM 1.3 from Installer. AnySIM takes around 10 mins to unlock.

Hi Zibri I have found a bug in your ZiPhone 2.0, 2.2, 2.3 that is making me go crazy!!!
I have made a will this on 10 different iphones and I have always noticed the same problem.
After having used ZiPhone, the software iphonebrowser 1.5.2.0, notice that the iphone is not jailbreak and doesn't allow the operation.
besides, after having used ZiPhone, it is not possible you use appsvap from the jailbreakme.com on 1.1.1, in how much it doesn't work after having used ZiPhone.
My iphone is blincked because the springboard continually jams and I doesn't find solution with ZiPhone 2.3.

Anyone having a glitch with Google map where the tiles get repeated an won't go away? This happened to me after the jailbreak. Never notice it before so i'm certain it''s the jailbreak. I would I fix this?

I did though manage to restore back to 1.1.3.
Hence, any solution for the 1.1.3 iTouch ??
I just did my phone and took out the turboSIM type hack in it. and the process took like less than 1 min. And I was able to do it on my mac!!!!
To Zibri and everyone involved in making ZiPhone a reality. Wow you have created a truly brilliant piece of software here. I have been hacking iPhones since day 1. But this tool is just on a whole other level. It's fast clean and it works flawlessly!!!!

Hey Zibri, or anyone else out there that understands this whole process. I used the ZiPhone2.0 the other day to unlock my 1.1.1 iPhone. Everything works awesome, even though I had to tweak one part of the instructions. so now with the new versions coming out, do I need to update my iPhone or should I just leave a good thing alone?

My change in the way I did things was that I did not push shift and restore ay the iTunes screen. I just puched restore and everything worked like a charm.

At incomming calls iPhone only shows the phone-numbers, WITHOUT THE NAMES of the person who is calling.
If I change the phone-numbers in the addressbook to local-format, without the leading country-code «+41», it recognizes it ...
Unfortunately all my numbers are stored internationally like ...

If I look into my phone ( I used Ziphone 1.0 but I tried 2.0 too) using iPhone browser or Total Commander, i'm not able to see the directories and iphone browser says that my iPhone os not jailbroken.

Can someone please explain why so many users don't get Youtube working afterwards?
I'm on a legit O2 contract, 16GB iPhone and every time I've used different versions of ZiPhone, my Youtube can not connect! I've tried all the Youtube fixes I can find, but none work :(

Yes, it DOES work on 16GB iPhones. Only problem is: If you want to put files onto your phone Via independence or ifuntastic, you have to jailbreak it again with independence's method, which isn't a big deal; Just weird.
Anyway, my iPhone's running great for now... :)

I haven't used my camera since last unlock, and there is no pictures in my files. I have moved the font folder, so there should be plenty of space.

Works exactly as advertised! I successfully unlocked my new 1.1.3 8GB iPhone by simply pressing the Start button. Not futzing with BSD or downgrading... just push Start!
All features work except Google Maps (damn!) but I can successfully use my T-Mobile SIM (US) to make / receive calls, SMS, Safari, YouTube and everything else. THANK YOU ZIBRI!

I just unlocked a 1.1.2 OTB using the OSX version. It works great. I found that iTunes somehow disrupts ZiPhone. It gets stuck once iTunes recognizes the iPhone. I got passed it by turning off iTunes before it recognizes the phone.
Nice job on software. I followed your instructions but phone is still locked. first ran ziphone -d then updated then restored iphone after update ran ziphone -b -a -j. Please let me know if i did anything wrong.

Hi, I have used this fantastic application on a O2 1.1.2 OTB phone. I ran the application on my brand new iphone, and everything worked with my standard contract O2 SIM. I then performed a 1.1.3 Restore in iTunes and ran Ziphone again. The phone works, Youtube, Wifi all great. However, I have noticed a problem with GRPS/EDGE, sometimes it works fine, however, sometimes it doesnt, No widget updates, and Safari cannot connect. Has anyone else seen this problem?

Please help. I used ziphone to jailbreak my iphone and I now have two icons on my phone. Blog and Installer... When I install something through the installer - I do not know how to apply it.

Great work! Unlocked my new iPhone today (1.1.3) My only concern was that at the end of the process, I got the message "ERROR: ziphone returned 1"in the Progress Log. Is that something I should worry about? Everything looks okay. I'm using a non-AT&T carrier and was able to call out. I installed some apps fine. Hope you can answer this. Thanks again!

I have iPhone OTB 1.1.3 activated with ATT (Modem firmware 4.0.3.13G. I used the ziphone 2.4 to jailbreak/activate/unlock for any carrier. The phone works perfectly with Tmobile, etc. However when I put the ATT SIM back to the phone, everything works OK. The only thing which did not work is the Google pseudo GPS (it could not locate my current location). I checked the phone and found the Modem firmware has been changed to 4.0.2.13_G. I restored the iPhone to 1.1.3 (with iTune 7.6), the modem firmware is back to 4.0.3.13-G and now the Google location works fine, but I lost jailbreak, unlocked carrier,

It worked great.. i had a 1.0.2 that was unlocked with tzones. I virginzed the iphone, restored to 1.1.3 with itunes and ran ziphone. Everything worked out great. Thanks your the best
