Thanks for the ZiPhone Zibri. I've been successful in using it.
I have a question though. After unlocking, I am able to restore the iPhone using iTunes and it would still remain unlock. My question is, how do I re-lock the iPhone if I one day decide to use AT&T.
On a separate note, I would like to know if this version of ZiPhone works with iTunes 7.6.

Spaceman, to fully restore the iphone. Turn it off, and hold down the home button when you plug it in and the Connect to itunes will pop, and itunes will detect the phone in recovery mode. Just click continue and your phone will be restore in no time.

Hi, Zibri! Thanks for the fantastic tool. I've successfully used it on two iPhones but one is giving me some problems: I can't install ANYTHING via Installer. I always get "Error: Package download failed!"

Is there any chance of this being made to work on the iPod Touch 16gb?
Hello from Greece. I used GiPhoneGUI3 to unlock, jailbreak and activate a new iphone (1.1.2 4.6) and everything seems to be fine. Everything is OK with network signal, but the phone doesn't get income calls and the keypad crashes when i'm trying to make a call. I tried to install some stuff (for example BSD Subsystem or iWorld) from Installer but in any case the installing was unsuccessful. Can you give me some help?

I have OOTB iphone and i just want to confirm that with the GUI all i need to do is connect the phone to the PC run the GUI and select DO it all and thats it or are there any other steps I should know about, Sorry but I got the phone after ages of waiting and I don't want to screw up

Purchased my Iphone from a friend; it was activated prior and running 1.1.3.
With all other methods you must downgrade to 1.1.1. Preceded with Ziphone under OS X 10.5.2 it took less than three minutes. Will donate on payday. Excellent Program!!!

@zonker: try installing "Community Sources" (from "Sources") first. That fixed a similar problem for me recently.

Just want to clarify that a paid 1.0.2 Iphone simfree can be updated/unlocked/activated up to 1.1.3 with ziphone 2.4. I remember seeing in earlier editions ziphone not working with IPSF - but haven't seen anything since..?

Hello everyone, a week ago i bought an OTB 1.1.3 iphone with firmwire 04.02.13 from the apple store, a frinend of mine jailbroke and unlocked it for me, but when i put the phone into sleeping mode the phone wouldn't respond to incoming calls, and after i unlock the screen it shows me the missed calls. Today i restored with iTunes then i used ZiPhoneWin2.4 to jaibreak, activate and unlock it but i had the same problem. Then i downgraded the bootloader with the "downgrade bootloader" option, since this seems to be the fix for this problem for other ppl, but im experinecing the problem....Any ideas how to fix this ? Thanks in advance

For those who can instaLL apps. At Iclarified tutorials iphone section you can get an app to free disk space. Uninstall some apps, install this (bosstool) from the installer and it's done:

I want to tell immediately that everything works fine, your software is solid and easy, but... a little self-working!
This is what happened to me: this morning I was playing with the command-line windows 2.4 version of your software, just typing commands and seeing what would have happened. My iPhone was disconnected since I wanted only to check how the commandlline version worked, so the software hung waiting for phone, and i closed the commandline window. I didn't mean to upgrade (or should I say downgrade, since I'm running a jailbroken, activated, unlocked by ziphonegui2.1, 1.1.3 OOTB phone with 4.6 BL).
Then my laptop has been left on during all day (what a coincidence, I forgot to switch it off when I went home by office, so it was closed but still working!)
Tonight I wanted to use iTunes to synchronize my music library, so I connected the phone and... HAL started going mad:
iphone put in restore mode --> press yes to restore in itunes --> automatic downgrade/jailbreak/activation procedure --> telephone working!
all in 3 minutes (more or less) without any further control possible!
I checked taskmanager, and ziphone applicaiton was actually stil running!
I was quite cool to not panic, since I knew that disconnecting to interrupt operation durind BL downgrading would have bricked it, and my iPhone now is fully working, but...
...man... this was scaring!
is it supposed to automatically run even 10 hours after that the commandline window has been closed? without any further possible check by user? (press yes to restore in iTunes was not exactly explaining what was gonna happen).
Anyway, I was careless but lucky, so now I'm enjoying a full 1.1.3 iPhone with 3.9BL, working as solid as a rock (even contacts, messages and application has been left at right place!). Your software really DOES NO HARM!

I used Ziphone with GUI. After jailbreaking, unlocking and activating I could use the Iphone, but when I tried to use the phone or sms, it didn't work. I can push in one number and then the phone mode or sms mode is shut down automatically.
I got an Iphone 1.1.3 OTB. Bought it two days ago.

My questions is how can I install ringtones after unlocking with ziphone.
Let me give you some background, I was one of the first ones to update my iPhone to 1.1.3 with natetrue method. I was able to upload ringtones thru iNdependence or iBrickr without any problem. But recently I restored my iPhone to 1.1.3 from iTunes then unlocked and jailbreaked through ZiPhone. Now, I am unable to upload ringtones thru iNdependence or iBrickr. Could guys kindly help me out???

i had the same problem, all you have to do is make a clean upgread to 1.1.3 itune with itunes (shift+restore or upgread) click on 1.1.3 (iPhone1,1_1.1.3_4A93_Restore)this you have to download it. after put it on recovery mode, close itunes click ziphone-win-2.4,ZiPhoneGUI3, click do it all!!
and in 3mins you have a 1.1.3 iphone unlocked, evrything works fine,lol. i do it on 2 iphone
i think ziphone2.4 is made for 1.1.3, maybe i'm wrong but on 1.1.2 did not work good i had lot of problems

I used ziphone 2.4 on my 1.1.2 OTB updated to 1.1.3 but when I chose #2 which will only activate + Jailbreak + Unlock it also downgrade the bootloader to 3.9. Is there anyway I can upgrade BL to 4.6?

Totally awesome, dude! Worked perfectly on the 1.1.3 OTB. I jailbroke, unlocked and activated. The only thing I need to do now is downgrade the BL to 3.9. My question is: can I do it from this point or do I need to restore first? Will I then need to upgrade the baseband after?
best unlocking program I have used yet and I have used/tested a bunch. Same iPhone since 1.0.1.
Btw zibri u plan on making a ziphone for iPhone SDK or 1.1.4?

I have unlocked AT&T service
Now what I wanted was just a jail broke iPhone with installer
1. Download ziphone 2.4 the return of the GUI
2. I just double clicked on the zip file that i just downloaded
2a. It asked me if I wanted to run after unzipping I checked yes
3. Then it brings up the GUI
3a. Have iTunes running
4. You have 3 options unlock jailbreak etc.
5. I selected the jailbreak only
5a. Each selection explains what it will do. This is very simple and
easy to follow
6. Jailbreak takes around 35 seconds to just jailbreak
7. Install BSD subsystems
7a. Install open ssh
8. Install boss tools ( to move apps to free up space read the
instructions
9. I installed boss services so I could turn off ssh if needed among
other things.

but 1 question i have a 1.1.2 4.6 bootloader upgraded thru itunes 1.1.3 then uesd ziphone to unlock jailbreak and activate it for tmobile...everything works except for edge i do have the 5.99 web plan and i have put in the apn and user name and password but no go any suggestions wouuld be great to fix this problem i have

Zibri, your tool is beyond cool. Much kudos. Just wanted to ask, I have an iPhone 1.1.3 OTB, latest ZiPhone 2.4 GUI version but I do not want to downgrade by bootloader (I have no need to). Can I still use ziphone.exe -j -a -u arguments in a cmd window without downgrading the bootloader?
Also, does it matter which order the arguments are in? I'm assuming not.

I have also the problem after the unlocking that I can't install anything (because some error occur during the downloading) and because of this I can't use the phone in Romania (I understood iWorld has to be installed).

I used the "original" Zibri V 1.0 and -u -j -v my OTB 16GB phone. The present version ZiPhone 2.4 is quite intuitive, but: What should I do to downgrade from 4.6 to 3.9 without losing my apps and all?
At the moment I'm still on 04.02.13, looking forward - for obv. reasons - to 04.03.13
Zibri, you're the best. I purchased an OTB 1.1.2 phone. Restored it to 1.1.3 before use. then used ZiPhone 2.4 (GUI) with the "do it all" option. It worked like a charm from the first time. I thank you very much for this great solution. A donation is in order. cheers
hey guys, i cant seem to download the 2.4 gui for my windows XP... i tried downloading it and saves an icon in my desktop, when i unziip it, it makes a new folder under my program files... then when i go and try to open the gui and run it it says:
"the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). click on OK to terminate the application." ---- WHAT AM I DOING WRONG???
Hi I found the what was the problem I did not have .NET Framework 2.0. SO download install it if you get an error when unzipping the ziphone.
Say you had two sim cards and wanted to ensure you dont loose your contacts. Would it work to jailbreak the phone with one sim, then put the sim back in that has the contacts. Logicly it sounds like it will work. Do you have a better way to ensure you dont loose your contacts. Besides buying a sim backup device.
