This one FINALLY works under OS X :-)
Tested with 10.5.2, restored 1.1.3 iPhone iTunes 7.6.
Only side effect is it renames my iPhone :-)

I have done this about 5 times now (ziphone -j -a) I have used the ui and command line - each time it says don! but I am not getting the installer.app - My iphone is upgraded to 1.1.3 with modem firmware 04.03.13_G

can I use this package for a new 1.1.3 OTB iPhone? I just received a new iPhone and a Turbo SIM today. when I put my SIM and Turbo into the phone, it shows the emergency call only. does it mean that its not jail break? (this phone supposed to be unlocked, jail broken and activated)

hi i just want to ask if i buy a bran new iphone 1.1.3(from us) and it's still in original box never opened! can i use this ziphone to activate and jailbreak and unlock without any problem? by the way i live in romania
I found the issue with youtube, i'm an ATT customer so i do not need the activate command (-a). just using the the -j for jailbreak resolved the issue. Thanks so much Zibri !!!

For those having trouble in OS X, make sure you re-download the latest package (The correct one is 9.1MB... the incorrect, older one was 9.4)... Once you do that, follow these steps:
1) Unzip the archive
2) Open up Terminal.app and cd into the unzipped ziphone directory
3) Turn off your iphone.
4) With the iPhone off, hold down the home button and plug it into your cable/dock.
5) You should now see the "Connect to iTunes" logo on the screen. In the terminal, type ./ziphone -a -j
Wait about 45 seconds and the iphone will reboot.. that's it, you're all done, activated and jailbroken :)
Tested on an intel mac running leopard 10.5.2 (actually, running 10.5.2 server, but that doesn't really matter), iTunes 7.6, and a 1.1.3 iPhone with 04.03.13_G
(Note: youtube doesn't seem to work after zibri's activate... anyone know how to fix it?)

Congrats on the app....but i have one question...hope u can help me.
I used it, it seem s to work, i put my vodafone simcard in the phone and it says vodafone network and all....but when i try to make a call or see my sms, it closes. i mean, when trying to make a call i only get to dial one number and the window closes and goes back to the main window...and with messages its the same, its like i cant use any application. but i know its unlocked. why do you think this happens??

i had a soft upgraded 1.1.3, but then used iTunes to restore to 1.1.3 before i did this.
i did ./ziphone.exe -j -a
it jailbroke it and activated it just fine.
but i no longer get a signal. I dont need to unlock cause i have AT&T.
how do i get my phone working to get a signal again?
I performed the steps correctly.
1) downloaded latest (9.1mb) macosx release
2) unzip, and terminal execute only with jailbreak (-j)
3) Wait 45 seconds
4) Iphone restarts, but nothing has changed. It's the exact same phone.
What's going on?
Zibri, there were many "fixed" versions released. I have used the very 1st version, and after that the version with the fixed Installer, and everyhing looks fine in general. Please let me (us?) know if we should reapply any of the fixed versions or the changes are on the "packaging" level only. And BTW THANKS A LOT :)

i noticed too that it downgraded to version 1.1.2..i had version 1.1.3.
what else do u recomend?? should i go back to version 1.1.3 and do it again only with -a y -j?

Ok, since I've gotten requests for it, the download link to the bootloader downgrader is at the end of this paragraph. Thanks to the dev team for the WP# discovery. I didn't brick my phone with this, I bricked my phone by typing 0 instead of 3FA000, but use extreme caution. I haven't included a patched bootloader, hopefully if you are using this, you have the skills to patch a bootloader. Here, don't say I didn't warn you.
how about a 3.9BL IMEI changer. Could come in handy one day.
Dude i just did a jailbreak. Now what? How do add the installer thingy? I'm new to this; all i really want is iChat.

any ideas yet about not getting the installer.app? ive restored my phone to 1.1.3, ran the cmd prompt ziphone successfully and ran the gui one too- each time it just reboots my phone like nothing happened...

Have you been hearing anything about my problem? My problem is that my phone will boot up, possibly with the black and white bars going across, but the serious part is where I can open up apps, but then I cant do anything, like Mail will check, but I cant do anything but hit the home button, and the sleep button up top brings me to what looks like the slide to unlock screen, but its dark, no time, no slider. That was pretty F'ed up. Just wondering if youve heard about my problem and if you have any solution.

You must be using the Iphone in a non authorized country. Use iWorld and choose country to which your SIM card belongs and the problem should be solved. You can install iWorld through Installer.
I can't get the program to work on Mac. could someone help me out with this . I have jailbroken my 1.1.2, which I downgraded and upgraded it back to 1.1.2. I would like to have 1.1.3 unlocked.

if your phone still only displays the "Slide for Emergency" stuff, but unlock, jailbreak and activation seem to work.
you might want to think about USING ANOTHER SIM-CARD then the AT&T one!
INSERT THE NEW SIM-CARD and REPLACE THE AT&T ONE IF YOU DON'T WANT TO USE IT!

Zibri you have done it one more time baby... It works like a charm on my new fresh out of the box 1.1.3.
This is also a confirmation of the international sim users. I hereby confirm that it works internationally...
i need help. ive just got my new iphone on the mail. supposely jailbroken (by ijailbrake) and running 1.1.4. with installer aplication included. when i first connect the phone to the power, shows the iphone logo followed by the itunes logo (with usb logo) and keeps repeating! i can turn it off and on but does that all the time. what went wrong? how can i solve this problem? am i forced to reinstalled the software 1.1.4 from itunes (locking the phone again)?

that you do a complete restore on your phone. yes, that's through iTunes. but once that's done, run ziphone and do an unlock. easy breezy
