As I stated many times, ZiPhone was not even intended for
the iTouch. But you know...they are so similar...
The "problem" with 1.1.3 iTouch is that the bootloader
is a little different. Yesterday I had the time to disassemble it.
20 minutes later I found exactly what I expected and where I expected it to be.
Allow me some more tests to make you totally safe.
And expect news soon.
Update:
maybe I was too tired.. nothing seems proving it doesn't work.
So I took some of the donated money and ordered a 32gb Touch.
It will be here in a few days...

I previously unlocked my iphone 113 with ziphone and it worked great !
But now i've got an iTouch 32 GB, and get the f***ng error...
Hope you'll find it soon so that the jailbreak can be done easily instead of downgrading to 111 then upgrade to 112 and install 113 jailbroken through installer :-)

Since many now know the 1.1.4 will be released end of this month, Please communicate with GeoHotz since apple will patch the bootloader fix and we may need the custom bootloader. Geohot is quiet for a while, you are the one who woke him up for another success(gbootloader). Zibri please talk about 1.1.4, we know you already (may) be having the 1.1.4 beta. Say something about that i just keep seeing your blog 10 times a day!!!!

In my iTouch of 8 GB ziphone works so fine, but sometimes it is slow, and some apps are a little unstable. The download of third party apps doesn't work.

I used your version 1.1 to jailbreak and it worked like a charm. I used it a second time to unlock and it set my 1.1.3 baseband back - so I lost the My Location function.
Do you have a fix for this?

From what I've heard about the iPod "Touch" (1st Gen 16GB and current 32GB), the 'problem' is that these units have TWO NAND flash chips (as opposed to the ONE NAND chip on iPhone, or 8GB Touch units).
So, my *guess* is that it has nothing to do with 'bootloader' on iTouch - it is most likely the fact that there are TWO NAND chips, and the kernel/ramdisk you are booting for ZiPhone doesn't recognize the second NAND chip.
As you know, 8GB iTouch users have had success using ZiPhone - and 8GB iTouch devices have ONE NAND chip (just like iPhone).
I don't have an iTouch - so my feeling is just that - a 'theory'. But, it seems reasonable.
Of course, once you receive your 32GB iTouch (TWO NAND chips), you'll be able to figure it out - I just think you shouldn't worry too much about bootloader versions/etc - I really think it's NAND chip count related.
Just my opinion.
P.S. When you talk about differences you see in the 'bootloader' on the iTouch, you're obviously NOT talking about the "BL" seen on the iPhone (as that is part of the baseband). What exactly do you define as the "bootloader" on the iTouch? Does the same exist on the iPhone?

i unlocked my 1.1.2 OTB ..4.6 bootloader with ur GUI v3.1
the phone's workin fine but the problem is that my springboard isn't showin the next page..
as it has 5 applications on it, the springboard shud have two pages atleast....but its not showin the nxt page...i cant flip to nxt page....the installer has shifted to nxt page...so i cant have any accesss to it,....i installed iWorld(coz m in INDIA), SMSD, Camerapro, iSim

Mine only seems to hold charge for around 14 hours now. I'm not sure if it's coincidence, but it was from around the time I used ziphone to unlock.

Although it did not work for my Itouch 1.1.3 for some reason. but I used it to switch the Itouch from DFU to Normal mode, and I did not even lose my music.

Hey zibri, I don't think its jsut the fact taht the ipod touch 16 and 32 gb have two chips, becasue my 8 gb does the bsd root: md0 major 2, minor 0 thign too and same with MANY other people PLEASE HELP USSSSSSS ( I bought mine in feb wit hjan apps installed at 1.1.3 then it update di nitunes to 1.1.4)

There is a way, i just did it yesterday..
Restore to 1.1.3 and ignore the message that appears at iTunes.. remove it from the cable and close itunes. Plug it to the cable and from terminal (or command promt for windows users) type ziphone -D to downgrade the bootloader..
It will do it's stuff and then it'll reboot to the 1.1.3 os.. but then you must run ziphone with -j to jailbrake it! ;)

p.s. i did with my iphone yesterday, i don't think it's any different from the iTouch, only the unlock proccess!

maybe add it to the front page with a warning like use at own risk until you get a real jailbreak for 16GB.

I confirm that the method Tim posted works. I tried on my 16 gb iTouch and it is now jailbroken. The video says you should do it on a freshly restored 1.1.4 iTouch but I only did the regular iTunes upgrade and used ZiPhone right after that and it worked on my first try.
